Как же отказать себе в удовольствии проводить больше времени на свежем воздухе, тем более что поводов для этого в Нью-Йорке хоть отбавляй.

Один из самых интересных и приятных – это The Jazz Age Lawn Party. Вечеринка в стиле джаза, которая каждое лето проходит на Губернаторском острове.

Традиция устраивать костюмированный праздник в стиле 20-х годов прошлого столетия начался с частной вечеринки, на которой собиралось от силы 50 человек. Идея очень приглянулась публике и небольшой круг друзей расширился до одного из самых популярных летних городских праздников. В 2011 и 2012 году The Jazz Age Lawn Party была названа самым красочным и запоминающимся событием года.

Northside Festival. June 6 – 12, 2016.  Northside Festival is about music, art, film, fashion, food, and innovation in Greenpoint and Williamsburg. The music begins on June 9.

Red Hook festival. June 9 – 11, 2016. Red Hook Fest features a happy hour on Thursday, a BBQ and DJ dance party Friday, and performances on the main stage Saturday in Brooklyn. Free.
